In a sonic landscape fuelled by algorithms and processes, rules both written and unwritten, an age where anyone is an artist or producer, drained of all originality, how does one break free from this lifeless and saturated machine and express any form of true creativity?

Automata is an abstract expressionist sound installation, simultaneously everywhere and nowhere, that seeks to challenge this perception of music as commodity over fine art. A deliberately unsettling and left-field composition made to provoke thought rather than blind existence.

In this world where we are enslaved by technology, blindly following formula and process in order to “create”, this album attempts to flip the algorithm on its head wherein the process becomes the music. By embracing technology as a tool rather than master we can finally break free from this self-dehumanisation and take back control from the automata.
